Founding Partners
Adam is a licensed Physical Therapist, NATA Certified Athletic Trainer and NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, MO. He has extensive experience in the field of orthopedic and sports physical therapy, which he gained working with athletes at the high school, collegiate and professional levels of competition. This experience included internships with the NY Jets, NY Knicks and Boston Celtics. During his tenure as a physical therapist and athletic trainer he has rehabilitated numerous major league baseball players, NYRA jockeys and professional boxers.
One of the founding partners of Professional, Adam extends his hands on approach from treating patients to managing the continued growth of Professional Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy. Working closely with the Pro PT team including the department heads enables Adam to be intricately involved in all aspects of management & operations of the business. He has lectured at several conferences & universities on the "business of healthcare".
Adam is married to his supportive wife Brenda and has four daughters, Paige, Nikki, Hailey, & Remi. He enjoys NY Yankee Baseball and playing golf in his spare time.
George is a licensed Physical Therapist and NATA Certified Athletic Trainer. He is a graduate ofLong Island University-Brooklyn Campus where he served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer working with all their Division I athletic teams. He also served as an assistant adjunct professor in the Athletic Training program at LIU from 1992 to 1995. George continues to guest lecture at NYIT in the Physical Therapy Program. George has worked with athletes at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels of competition. For three years, George served as the head athletic trainer for the USISL Soccer Champion; Long Island Rough Riders. George also has extensive experience with ice hockey injuries. He has been involved in the rehabilitation of many professional players in the National Hockey League. From 1997 through 1998 he was involved in the rehabilitation of many of the NHL's New York Islanders.
As one of the founding partners, George oversees the Sports Medicine Program which employs over 60 NYS NATA Certified Athletic Trainers.
Rob is a licensed Physical Therapist, NATA Certified Athletic Trainer, and an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He received his physical therapy and athletic training degrees from Ithaca College and his Masters of Science Degree in Exercise Physiology from Queens College. Rob is one of the few professionals regarded nationally in the fields of sports physical therapy and the strength and conditioning of athletes.
In the field of sports physical therapy and athletic training Rob has 25 years of experience. He has rehabilitated athletes at all levels of competition. He has conducted research in these fields and has more than 60 sports medicine and strength and conditioning journal publications and book chapters. He lectures nationally on the topic of the sports rehabilitation of athletes including the annual national meetings of the Sports Physical Therapy Section of the American Physical Therapy Association, the National Athletic Trainers Association, as well as presenting his research at the World Congress of Physical Therapy in Washington D.C.
Rob has 24 years of experience in the field of strength and conditioning. He lectures nationally on this topic including the annual national meeting of the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He has studied the science of strength and conditioning at the national sports training institutes of Bulgaria, and was previously known as the USSR and East Germany. He has served as the head strength and conditioning coach for St. John's University (1986 - 1995), The World league of American Football NY/NJ Knights (1991), and the WUSA's NY Power women's professional soccer team (2001 - 2003).
He has served or presently serves as a sports physical therapy/strength and conditioning consultant to the many strength and conditioning coaches, medical staff, and athletic teams and Universities. This includes the NFL's Atlanta Falcon's, Denver Bronco's, Detroit Lions, New England Patriots, New York Giants, St. Louis Ram's, the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers, Chicago Bulls, NJ Nets, the University of Delaware, University of Virginia, Kansas University, and Temple University. Rob was elected the USA Strength and Conditioning Coaches Hall of Fame in 2003.

Tim is a licensed Physical Therapist since 1992, NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist since 1993. He received his physical therapy degree from University of Stony Brook and his Masters of Science Degree in Exercise Physiology from Queens College in 1996. Tim began his physical therapy career working at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan from 1992-2000, where he was a member of the Sports Physical Therapy Department, became the Departments Quality Assurance Officer and conducted clinical research.
Tim has extensive clinical experience in treating orthopedic and sports related injuries as well as sports performance training of all level athletes ranging from High School to the Olympic/professional level athletes.
He is certified by USA Weightlifting as a Club Coach and Sports Performance Coach. Tim has published several clinical research studies in the field of Orthopedic & Sports Rehabilitation, and lectures at professional meetings & annual conference on related topics. He guest lectured at graduate Physical Therapy Programs as well as lectured / consulted for the NBA Player's Association.
Tim has competed for over 20 years in the sports of Powerlifting and Olympic Weightlifting and has been nationally ranked in both sports.
Tony is a licensed Physical Therapist, NATA Certified Athletic Trainer, and NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He is a graduate of the Syracuse Health Science Center for Physical Therapy with a Masters degree in Kineseology and Athletic Training from Indiana University. He has 15 years of clinical experience in orthopedics and sports medicine. Tony has specialized training in the McKenzie treatment of spinal disorders as well as the Maitland, Mulligan & Rath manual techinques for the treatment of extremities and all spinal disorders.
His experience includes working on the professional sports level with the NFL's Indianapolis Colts, Long Island Rough Riders Soccer, New York Saints Lacrosse, NYC Marathon and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center's dancers. Tony has also worked with Indiana University's Division I Football, Soccer and Baseball athletic teams.
Tony currently has several publications and guest lectures at Long Island University, New York University, Stony Brook University, and Equinox Health clubs.
Don is a licensed Physical Therapist and an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS). He is a graduate of Temple University's Physical Therapy program and holds a Master's degree in Healthcare Management from New York University. Don has over twenty-five years of clinical experience in the fields of manual, orthopedic and sports physical therapy. He has an extensive background in treating both high school and college athletes, in addition to performing artists.
Charles is a New York State Licensed Physical Therapist. Charles received his Masters of Science degree in Physical Therapy from New York Institute of Technology in 2001 where graduated with honors. He joined the Professional Physical Therapy team in December of 2001 after completing his final clinical internship. After 4 years as working as a staff Physical Therapist, Charles was promoted to a partner in the company and was brought up to Westchester to run our Mamaroneck facility. Charles currently manages one of our most successful clinics in the company and takes pride in providing quality care and customer satisfaction to all of his patients.
Charles has worked with athletes from all varieties of sports including professional soccer players, professional boxers, and rugby players from the US National rugby ream. He also works closely with athletes from Mamaroneck High School, Harrison High School, Archbishop Stepinac High School, and local soccer clubs including Rye Rovers FC and Westchester FC.
Charles is an avid golfer who also played competitive soccer in the Republic of Ireland where he emigrated from in 1986; he currently lives in Westchester with his family. Charles is available at the Mamaroneck clinic on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for appointments.
Timothy is a 1992 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. He later went on to receive his Master's degree in physical therapy from Long Island University in Brooklyn, NY in 1999. Tim has been a licensed clinician practicing orthopedic and sports physical therapy for 10 years where he has developed a strong interest in the treatment of sports/orthopedic injuries and hip disorders.
In 2005 Tim became a partner with Professional Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy and helped open the Garden City location. In 2006 Tim was named the head physical therapist for the New York Islanders of the NHL. In 2009 Tim sought to further his knowledge of hip disorders and spent time at Steadman Hawkins and the Howard Head Sports Medicine Center in Vail Colorado. Tim has consulted with and rehabilitated numerous players in Major League Baseball, Major League Soccer, UFC, and the National Football League.
Tim currently lives on Long Island with his wife and two children.
Melissa is a NYS licensed Physical Therapist and is currently the Clinical Director of the Tribeca facility. She graduated in 1992 with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Columbia University and has been working for 19 years in outpatient orthopedic settings in Manhattan with a focus on manual therapy and sports medicine rehabilitation. Melissa's experience also includes working with a pediatric population for the NYC Board of Education.
Ron has been a part of the Professional Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy team since completing his final clinical rotation at our Grand Central facility before graduating with his Master's degree in 2002. His tenure, clinical skill and commitment to our core philosophies have allowed Ron to rise through the company ranks, from staff therapist, to senior therapist, to clinical director and, now, to partner/owner in our new Wall Street facility.
Ron remains committed to his professional development through continuing education, including coursework in: the McKenzie method; joint, spinal and soft tissue mobilization and manipulation; and post-surgical rehabilitation and sports medicine. He obtained board certification as a clinical specialist in orthopaedic physical therapy (O.C.S) in 2009.
Ron has over nine years of experience treating surgical and non-surgical orthopaedic and sports injuries, but has a special interest in the treatment of the spine and upper extremity. He has worked with individuals of all ages and fitness levels, including elite athletes, combining advanced skill in joint and soft tissue manipulation with an extensive background in exercise prescription to obtain the outcomes his patients require. Ron is available for appointments at our Wall Street location Monday through Friday.
