Hear From Our Patients

Marlie C.
Although I was only a patient here briefly, the experience I had was a positive one. My therapist was Mackenzie and she was attentive professional and friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to her in the future if needed.
Cara M.
The pro pt staff are very nice. Dave and his staff are very knowledgeable on what they are doing.
Michael B.
I had a very positive experience at Professional PT for the past 2+ months. I started experiencing back pain (a new thing for me) after a car accident in October and this team was great to work with. I made significant strides and am now making progress towards more intense athletic activity. Dave... does a great job leading the group and I loved working with everyone there, namely Mackenzie, Jackson (good luck at dental school!), and Jill. There is consistent positive energy, which is key when being injured can sometimes be demoralizing. Thank you to the whole team and best of luck!Mike Boorasread more

Is one of the most genuine humans I have ever met on top of being an outstanding DPT, on my worst days I always leave feeling... better than when I arrived.I highly recommend this business to others needing physical therapy.read more

Carolyn Caisse has been instrumental in my recovery from total knee replacement surgery. She designed a PT program that was challenging yet do-able. She has been a caring and supportive PT.

Jon and Jackson and the entire team at PPT were wonderful! I broke my kneecap in half from a fall over the summer and from the first day I hobbled in until my last day there, they were nothing short of amazing! Excellent physical therapists. Professional, intelligent, and caring. They take the time to identify and zero in on your issue. Explain the therapy program, and guide and encourage you to a successful conclusion.

With Dave and Zach leading the way at PPT, all your troubles will be gone. They are an extremely high functioning group that work with you. The schedules are accommodating and the facility is very clean. Though their outfits can be a bit swanky (fun days when they all dress up funny), they are... best in class. I have been here twice for my hip and the helped both times. I can walk and do activities with the family again. They all care about you and how you feel. This should be your first and only place to go for rehab.read more

I would 100% recommend Professional PT. After tearing my ACL twice, my physical therapist, Dave, was a huge help. They really care about each patient and take their time to build a connection with each one. I had a blast every time and even looked forward to going to my appointments. Even after... going away to college, they stay in touch if you have any questions!read more

My experience at Professional Physical Therapy in Amesbury was amazing. I was nervous at first after a total hip replacement, but everyone there immediately put me at ease. The space is very open with a lot of natural light and has a very positive vibe. They have a great team led by Dave McGinty... and everyone from Cameron at the front desk to Zach Martin, PT to Jackson and Connor who helped oversee my exercise program exceeded my expectations. I was able to walk without a crutch after a few visits. My flexibility, range of motion and strength all improved significantly and gave me the confidence I needed to move forward with my recovery. I can't thank them enough!read more

I just wanted to give a shout out to the staff at PPT for doing a great job with my recovery. I had a shoulder surgery back in Aug 2020 and I was a patient here for a few months for PT to get my shoulder back into the swing of things. The staff was knowledgeable and kind. I am almost back normal... because of the exercises that they implemented with my daily routine. 5 stars! Great job!!read more

I had a wonderful experience at Professional PT in Amesbury. They are incredibly professional, organized, friendly and caring. I liked the fact that they track your progress over time with periodic assessments, so that you can see your improvements on a time-line graph. Cameron at the front desk... is so kind and helpful. I worked with Jonathan, a superb PT, who got me to a place where I am almost 100% symptom-free. And the other members of their stellar team were always so supportive and helpful. (wish I could remember all of their names, as they all deserve a special thanks). They are also very diligent about cleaning off all surfaces between patients, which I appreciated. Thank You Professional PT of Amesbury!!read more

I was referred to PPT through family members after having broken my ankle. The treatment I received was great and the physical therapists and assistants were all so friendly, informative and really gave me a sense that they truly cared about me and my progress.I returned to PPT for a second time... after having back surgery. There is NO other place I would recommend for PT. Again, the physical therapists and assistants are extremely knowledgeable in the variety of treatments they offer and their friendliness makes the environment that much more comfortable! Lastly, the receptionists are also very welcoming and booking appointments was always a breeze!read more

I really wish I would have gone to professional physical therapy right after my car accident last August, but I went elsewhere and it resulted in my shoulder getting re injured twice by the physical therapist. My therapist Erin understood how frustrated I was when I walked in and fearful of going... through more pain and was awesome. She was away for a week and it didn’t matter which therapist I had they’re all welcoming and wonderful. Top notch, friendly therapists. I loved them all. You’re 100% in the right hands with them. Growing up and playing sports my entire life I had my fair share of bumps and bruises which eventually landed me in PT! After realizing this career path was something I was interested in, and would allow me to help people recover from injury and improve their overall quality of life the choice to become a PT was pretty clear!

My career in the field of physical therapy began in 2016, when I was hired as an exercise technician by ProEx Physical Therapy during my first year of PT school at UMass Lowell. I worked with the company up until and beyond its eventual partnership with Professional PT, and transitioned to the role of a full-time PT after passing my licensing exam in July 2019. I have treated out of the Amesbury clinic since, and am about to complete Level 1 of the Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (IOMT).

I played football in high school with a passion for weight lifting, fitness, and bodybuilding. With that as my interest, I gained a respect for how the body moves and performs as well as injuries and the rehab involved. I graduated with a bachelors in health sciences in 2018 from Franklin Pierce with a focus on physical therapy. After graduating I worked as an exercise technician/front desk specialist at Professional Physical therapy in the Epping and Somersworth clinics. I enjoy the variety of patient population that is involved with outpatient physical therapy from basic orthopedic conditions to balance and deconditioning patients.
