I could not recommend Steve and his team more! Finding a PT center through online reviews and insurance company suggestions was a little intimidating, but Professional Physical Therapy instantly put me at ease. The providers are attentive, super helpful, and so accommodating. All the issues I had... come in for were gone, and Steve constantly checked in with me around discharge to ensure I was ready. I not only got help with my physical therapy issues, but also had an enjoyable time during my sessions because of the providers. I would HIGHLY recommend this place - don’t hesitate.read more

Throughout my whole PT experience at Professional PT, I was always comfortable asking questions regarding my knee injury, as all the staff were super friendly and open. They were very caring and took gradual steps to ensure my recovery progress was at an appropriate pace. They always gave me... various (and some repetitive, as it was equally important) exercises to do during my session and at home. Last but not least, they always have fresh word picture puzzles you can solve as brainteasers while you do your sets. It’s a great environment, and I highly recommend this place!read more

I’ve been going to Professional Physical Therapy (Financial District) to aid in my recovery after an accident shattered my knee cap.I interviewed several PT offices and knew I had hit a home run with Professional Physical Therapy after speaking on the phone to Steve Vitale, the clinic director at... the Financial District location. He took the time to talk through his philosophy about the role of PT and easily addressed a few concerns I had with previous PT I had received. He was a great combination of super knowledgeable and compassionate.Over my time working with Steve to regain mobility and now strength I’ve really seen how he and the other therapists work. The professionalism and know-how has been really impressive, especially how easily they explain exactly what’s going on physically with me in that moment or during that particular exercise.I always feel like I can ask questions regarding what’s happening when I’m home, and he’s quick to make suggestions to help aid my recovery. What’s impressed me most is how all the therapists have a problem solving and can-do attitude whether it be coordinating with your surgeon or how to invent an exercise or quickly adjust an existing exercise to better aid in the recovery goal I have. Steve is really good at listening to what my recovery goals are and keeping that first and foremost when working with me each week. The only thing I will warn you about is that you will have to listen to Steve’s Dad jokes on a regular basis;)Steve has not only helped me overcome the extreme mobility hurdles but also the emotional bumps that come along the way when undergoing a traumatic injury and a longer recovery. I highly recommend, 10/10.read more

I’ve been to a lot of PT practices and this has been my best experience by far. Steve is very knowledgeable, has a great approach to helping patients understand body mechanics, and why we’re doing the exercises we’re doing. Their staff is also great and it’s a pleasure working with them all. I... highly recommend.read more

Steve and his staff at Professional PT on High St are the epitome of professionalism and excellence in the field of Physical Therapy. After getting my 2nd shoulder surgery, I was nervous that I wouldn't be able to recover fully/struggle getting where I want to be. Steve put both those worries to... rest immediately. Unlike other PT offices I have gone to in the past, the environment is clean, laid back, and the staff gives each patient diligent time and attention. Steve and crew never pushed me beyond what I was comfortable with and got my full range of motion back pretty much ahead of schedule. My strength and stability in the shoulder are back on par if not better then previous. 4 months later and I'm good to get back into my daily active lifestyle routine from lifting, boxing, running etc.. something at one time I didn't think would be possible. I highly recommend Steve and his crew at Professional PT, no matter the age or background -- these are your guys!read more

Steve and his team at Professional PT really helped me through a rough patch. I had issues with my upper back, lower back and right foot. They helped me slowly recover but also learn how to manage these issues by myself. I had a good stretch of time where I was not feeling great and it really... helped to have a patient and sympathetic ear towards my problems. They were very knowledgeable and knew exactly what was wrong. I felt very comfortable going in and knowing I was in good hands. They did a great job with me and I highly recommend them. They were great with scheduling around my hours (especially with COVID) and understanding when I was late or had to reschedule.read more

I went to Professional Physical Therapy after I tore my ACL and worked with Steve Vitale through pre-op PT and went back after surgery to continue with post-op PT. He and his team carried themselves in a professional and upbeat way that made each session fun and something I looked forward to each... week - even when I was there up to three times per week. Steve is very knowledgeable, treats each patient on a case by case basis, sets up a plan based on your needs and answers any and all questions. He also explains why each exercise is beneficial which is great for personal learnings and continued recovery. The team always made sure I was pushing my limits but that it wasn't too much for me while doing so. If you're looking for any sort of physical therapy, I highly recommend Professional Physical Therapy!!read more

Alexandra (Alex) Linden is a gifted physical therapist. I was suffering from increasingly problematic chronic back pain and sciatica plus twisted my knee when I came to her for help. I had tried stretching, Accupuncture, massage, everything to no avail and I am a horseback rider so I was really... struggling. This was my first experience with PT and I would never wait so long to go again. Alex first helped me understand what I was doing to contribute to my back pain and how to preserve my back so that it would be in good shape for riding. As part of that, she prescribed 5 exercises for me to do daily that improved my core strength in a specific way that didn’t aggravate, but instead helped my back and used our time to help me understand how to do them properly. These daily exercises take me 15 min in total and changed my life. Within 2 weeks I was pain free and have remained so over a whole year since including a week long vacation ride. A bonus is that my core strength is really good now which also helps my riding. I just can’t recommend Alex highly enough for diagnosing the problem insightfully and helping me take control by doing things at home so that I can maintain a good quality of life for the long run. Thank you, Alex!read more
