Best physical therapy I have been to. Everyone is so friendly and the therapists/crew works so Great together. This is the only PT place I will use should I need it. I look forward to my visits as it is well worth the relief you receive.
Terri B.
I have been to a few other places for PT and this by far has been the best experience. The facility is well run and clean. The women who work at the front desk are extremely helpful, friendly and always greet everyone by name with a smile. All the employees are professional, hands on and make it... fun. The assistants are amazing, they make you feel comfortable to be there. Its like a small family atmosphere. Chris Harsh has been working on my elbow, now my knee and has helped me to understand every step of the process of how everything works helping me to heal and get to my goals with his motivation. He listens closely each session to make sure his plan is personalized for my needs. Its very effective I saw results each week after months of consistent pain. I highly recommend Professional Physical Therapy!read more

I am now able to control my pain by simple stretching and exercises, Chris has armed me with, so I can get my life back. I am very grateful of his... knowledge, expertise, and abilities.read more

This is the second time I've been visiting here for physical therapy. The first time was with John and recently I've been doing sessions with JT. I can't judge their other locations but this one is great. They have a wide range of equipment to help you progress with your recovery goals and are... flexible with appointment times to fit your schedule. From the ladies reception checking you in to the PT and their assistants, everyone is attentive and friendly.I'll be sad when my sessions are done since they're great staff to be around. Highly recommend this location for your PT needs.read more

I have had excellent experiences at professional physical therapy in Garden City. Chris Harsh is quite simply the most knowledgeable and effective healthcare provider I have ever worked with. He has treated me for severe lower back pain/herniated disc and for shoulder tendinitis. His knowledge of... anatomy and mechanics is encyclopedic and he always educates as he treats you. He develops challenging treatment plans that produce steady progress but also make you feel safe. He considers your personal health and mobility goals when developing the plan. Most importantly he knows how to keep you motivated when the going gets rough. I am so grateful to have found Chris and professional. My experience there has allowed me to keep playing sports competitively and pain free!read more

I have only been going to this office for my neck for... a few weeks, but my symptoms are already improving. Katie treats all of her patients with compassion and humor and pushes you to reach your goals, all while maintaining a smile on her face. In fact...everyone here is always smiling! (Usually means good management!)If you are in pain...go here! You won't be disappointed!read more

I was blown away by Professional Physical Therapy. I had never been to PT before and was nervous/skeptical but had such an amazing experience. I have always been surrounded by sports my whole life. I played baseball and soccer until high school when I committed to focusing on soccer. With a combination of 4 years of NCAA D2 soccer at Molloy College and 2 years playing semi pro in Super-Y league, I have a strong player/coach background for the beautiful game. After having hip surgery and being exposed to the world of PT I fell in love immediately and decided to pursue the career immediately. I love what I do, meeting new people of all cultures and backgrounds everyday. Getting my patients back doing the activities they love is my true passion whether that is returning to playing a full 90 minutes of soccer, pitching a 9 inning shutout, or golfing with friends on the weekend.

Bio

Unfortunately like many of my colleagues a history of athletic injuries exposed me to the clinical practices of both athletic trainers, strength and conditioning coach's, and physical therapists. This ignited the spark which guided me to becoming a clinician in orthopedic healthcare. After receiving my Bachelors degree from Quinnipiac University and becoming a licensed athletic trainer and receiving my C.S.C.S , I became part of the Professional Physical Therapy team. I began my journey with a group professionals that provided me with a clinical experience that is unprecedented. Whether it was treating alongside Timothy Mauro and his expertise in post-operative Hip Labral repairs or Robert Panariello with his experience in ACL-rehabilitation to just list a couple of the many that influenced me over the years. All of these mentors expanded my knowledge and progressed my understanding of how to approach patient care. The next big step in my career was completing my DPT at NYIT where I expanded my knowledge even further with a focus on manual therapies and clinical evaluation skills. I look to continue to build my clinical knowledge and help as many patients as I can achieve their goals.

Having always been involved in sports as a child, I knew that my career would lead me down a path in healthcare. I graduated from Stony Brook University with my Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training and worked as the head Athletic Trainer at Holy Trinity HS. During my time as the ATC at Holy Trinity, I recognized that I wanted to further my career, my education, and my ability to help patients. I graduated from NYIT with my doctoral degree in Physical Therapy. As a physical therapist, I value the time spent with my patients, and working with them to help them to achieve their goals. As a physical therapist, I utilize a combination of therapeutic exercises, functional exercises and manual therapy (massage, joint mobilization and stretching) interventions in order to help my patients achieve their goals. I truly have a passion in helping my patients get better - my goal is my patients' goal!
