Going to occupational therapy was a really good experience, especially because of how awesome Evan and Rachel were. They were always super nice and made me feel welcome every time I came in. Tore my meniscus while on vacation. Saw a specialist when I arrived home, who recommended P/T. Fortunately for me, my neighbor recently saw Ash and referred. Two months ago I became overwhelmed with a condition which was both sudden and debilitating. I was referred to this facility in order to treat the vestibular issues (balance, vertigo, nausea etc) I was met by Nicole, the office manager. Nicole is very caring and patient. I have had to rearrange... appointments numerous times and each time Nicole is quite understanding and supportive. Nicole even called to check on me after an unexpected hospital visit. The facility itself is kept extremely clean and safe. Ash has taken me on as one of his patients, for which I am very appreciative. I cannot say enough good things about Ash and his team! I had meniscus root repair surgery that required me to be in a leg brace and completely non-weight-bearing (in a wheelchair and crutches) on my right leg for six full weeks. Thanks to Ash and his team and their comprehensive program of... exercises during my 2x visits per week, they were able to maintain and even improve my leg strength while protecting it from further injury. When I went back to my surgeon for my six-week follow-up, he was happily surprised to see how strong my leg was and commented that it didn’t look any different from my weight-bearing leg, which, considering all the "crutching around", had to be stronger than ever. He said that most patients with this surgery see a lot of atrophy in the surgically repaired leg and credited Ash and his team with getting my leg in such great shape that he had no reservations about authorizing immediate full weight-bearing activities for me. Now that I have had two therapy sessions weight-bearing, I am honestly surprised at how much I can do without a crutch or cane. The staff at Professional Physical Therapy in Hauppauge are simply miracle-workers under Ash’s tutelage. I have gone to many physical therapy offices but I never had such a positive experience as I did in the Hauppauge office with Ash. My doctor recommended I see him for vestibular issues.
