I love love love LOVE this place. Derek is one of the most amazing people I've met, he is the physical therapist there. Such a sweet, caring, and genuine person. I was in a car accident and injured both my knees. Derek and his interns/staff were so attentive and caring. They really went the extra... mile to make sure I'm comfortable and doing well. Every time I had a complaint about something I was doing Derek would come up with an exercise to target that problem. For example, I had trouble driving because my knee was extending, so Derek came up with a bunch of things for me to do that was tailored to fixing that problem. I used to be a dancer and it involved a lot of squatting and knee movements. Derek hyper-focused on making sure I would be able to dance again. I grew so much stronger everyday and my knees were becoming more stable. I can't even put into words how great this place is. Derek always let me pick the music and even became Spotify buddies with me. Such a funny guy, we always had great conversations. He let me bring my friends to PT with me and they would hang out with me while I did my exercises. Me, my friends, and Derek would make jokes - it was such a comfortable and happy environment. My friends always say how much they miss PT and how they haven't seen Derek in awhile. Everyone I met there also loves Derek, he's able to converse with anyone and understand their needs and what to do. He is such a smart guy. Derek balances doing his job and creating friendships very well. He understands injuries and pain so well, it's been so helpful. Unlike other doctors, I felt so comfortable conversing about my injury because it is difficult to communicate what you are feeling, but Derek made it no problem. The environment is great! So much equipment to do creative things with. All the interns and staff are so kind and funny - they are such sweethearts. I love this place, 10/10 recommend. I talk about PT with everyone, everywhere. Missing Derek and the gang for sure :)read more

After suffering a shoulder tear I’ve been working with Derek and his entire staff ever since . The experience has enabled me to get my life back .Derek and his... entire staff have treated me like family and In my heart this is the best physical therapy experience on the face of the earth.read more

I was referred to Professional Physical Therapy by my doctor in April of 2022 because my knee needed therapy. I had just had surgery for a meniscus tear and my knee needed therapy to improve overall function. When I called to set up an appointment, I was scheduled with Derek McConnell the following... week.He took the time to assess my knee and determine what exercises I would need to get me back on track. The goal was to alleviate the stiffness, improve functionality, restore balance, and reduce the pain and swelling that I was feeling after having surgery. I saw Derek three times a week and the schedule was flexible in that I could come morning, afternoon, or evening which was convenient once I returned to work. I was given exercises to do at home as well as in therapy, that helped my knee to regain its strength and allow me to resume the activities I was able to do prior to surgery. What was convenient was the app was I able to download with exercises, Derek recommended that I could access and do at work as well as at home, and the newsletter that was emailed to me once a month with useful information, that I could use, to help me improve my knee function. There were days I came to therapy with knee swelling but Derek found alternate exercises I could do where I would not lose my momentum in spite of the discomfort I was feeling. He even took the time to learn how to say my name correctly and wanted to make sure that any other therapist who would be working with me, would know how to say it correctly. It’s rare to find a physical therapist who not only takes the time to know their clients but wants to find the right exercises, that will get them back to where they were prior to their surgery. I like Derek’s unique approach in that despite what you may be feeling, you can reach your goal of regaining overall function once again.read more
