I had a rotator cuff issue that had plagued me for a few months due to weight-lifting. I was doubtful that I'd ever be able to lift again because of how limited my movement was. After finishing my last appointment yesterday, I'm confident that I'll be able to weight-lift again, even if it's not at... the level I was doing before. The staff here are kind, patient, and personable. It's an incredibly welcoming place. I was impressed with how the staff was able to remember details of conversations from the week prior about other things like vacations or concerts. It made for a very friendly and positive experience.I appreciated the appointment reminders I received each week, as well as their handling of paperwork and phone calls for insurance claims and getting additional appointments approved. Each week I felt like I was improving. I would recommend them without reservation to anyone looking for a physical therapist.read more

I was very impressed with the care, knowledge and professionalism Caitlin and Alicia demonstrated. They diagnosed my issue and developed a treatment plan that worked. I would recommend Caitlin and Alicia to anyone I know.

I can't recommend Professional PT in Newton highly enough!! They were able to get me in within a couple days for my first appointment and helped me through the worst of a back injury and several very frustrating and painful months. Alicia and Caitie are both fantastic physical therapists--highly... skilled, compassionate, and great at what they do. They helped me understand my injury, treatment options, and the trajectory of my recovery both in the short and long term. Their techs and office staff are also all wonderful and friendly. Just a fantastic team and a great physical therapy practice all around!read more

I had foot surgery and went to Professional PT for my physical therapy afterwards. I can’t say enough how pleasant and professional everyone was. They really worked wonders. I’ve gotten the surgery on my other foot and without a doubt will go here when the time comes. I’d recommend them highly.
angie C.
I had such a warm welcome from the team and they do a very good job in the field. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

Alicia Burillo is a 5 STAR physical therapist! I drove to Danvers twice a week, from Lexington and now do the same, only to Newton. She has strengthened my muscles and joints both before and after implantation of prostheses in my shoulder and knee and helped heal osteoarthritis and Pes Ancerine... Bursitis in the other knee. She uses a collaborative team approach with bikes, pulleys, balls, deep massage and targeted exercises. I recommend her to help YOU heal in the most appropriate manner!read more

Great friendly staff who get you positive results in a reasonable timeframe. Highly recommend this location if the Newton highlands area is good for you. Always has parking which isn’t always the case at other PT practices I have been to.

Professional PT is a wonderful place to seek physical therapy! Everyone there is super friendly and works diligently with you to help you make a recovery and gain strength. My time there was short but much needed after I started having issues with my lower back and hips. They have helped me get... back to normal life that is not limited by pain. Highly recommend to anyone seeking PT!read more

Katie was the best! All of the staff was caring and great!! Katie not only helped my foot but knew that my back and knee was a problem and helped me there as well. She really cares to help you improve! Thank you!

This is the real deal in terms of physical therapy. Cait, and the crew from the front desk to technicians were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and always available outside of PT hours. I had been to PT at the Faulkner hospital and the team at newton were light years ahead in the care they're... providing for their patients. I'm extremely happy with the results, always challenged me to continue improving day by day and I can honestly say I've made great friends on top of receiving some of the best PT care around here. Cant recommend them more highly, if you're looking for a place in the greater Boston area for PT, don't hesitate to reach out to Colleen and get started with the team there.read more

I was extremely impressed with the treatment that I got from Professional Physical Therapy. Alicia and her team were friendly, took time to understand where my pain was stemming from, and not only provided exercises for current pain but helped with prevention exercises. Alicia is a marathon runner... and kindly offered her advice, tips, tricks and I could not be more satisfied with my experience with her and her team!read more

I recently saw Alicia here for a hip issue that a surgeon recommended I have complex surgery for. She felt that this most likely could be effectively dealt with with muscle strengthening and PT and she was absolutely correct! She, and the ancillary staff, were tremendous! There is a wonderful... atmosphere in the practice; everyone is so friendly and caring and make the PT experience fun and enjoyable and I would unquestionably recommend Alicia and this practice.read more

I had dislocated a vertebrae in my neck causing pain and excruciating headaches. Alicia Burillo is a miracle worker. I left an hour later feeling much better and after several weeks of therapy the pain was gone. I would 100% recommend this PT and Alicia in particular to anyone who needs therapy.
Michael C.
I had a fantastic experience with Alicia and the rest of the staff. After my injury, they helped me regain my physical activity and confidence in my recovery. Highly recommend!

Highly, highly recommended ! I am so appreciative of all the work that the folks here did for me. Alicia greeted me on my admission to the service, and worked hard to understand the issues I was struggling with. She collaborated with me to find a treatment plan that helped me get over my acute... symptoms and back to doing what I love to do. Kassie picked up my case once I was admitted and helped so much to get me back to top form. Colleen and Jack helped out tons with exercises, and Colleen went the extra mile to assist with scheduling, and insurance issues. I had several relapses during treatment, and in each case, Kassie and Alicia worked hard to understand what caused the symptoms, and what new exercises we could use to help stave them off in the future. Tons of manual therapy helped ease these flare ups, and got me back to top shape. I had one or two flare ups that were especially painful and emailed Alicia looking for guidance. She replied to these emails almost immediately and had lots of good ideas to manage things. I am sure this was no small feat while she was also running a very busy clinic!! Alicia and Kassie were so helpful in addressing my wish to plan a transition back to my regular activity level, and Kaline's referral to a physical trainer was invaluable. As a former Nurse, I was also so impressed and appreciative of all the measures that each member of the team took to prevent the spread of Covid: from masking to wiping down surfaces, to temp checks, I felt the clinic as was safe as it possibly could be. This was not an easy task for the clinicians there, but boy do I appreciate it! Thank you all at Professional PT!read more

Have had plenty of PT over the years. I have had more success with Professional PT than any others. I wholeheartedly recommend them.

I cannot say enough about Alicia and this practice. A few short weeks ago I was completely unable to move. A small movement was all it took and my back was thrown out. I am a 37 year old mother of 3 small kids so this wasn’t an option. I couldn’t hold my 13 lb. baby! Colleen got me in quickly and... Alicia started working on me immediately. It took only a few visits and I was able to start doing things again. Alicia never pushed me too hard, and everything she did she did gently. She gave me the tools to help myself get better at home as well. I am so grateful for her and Colleen’s help! Both physical and emotional at a time when I was so upset that I couldn’t move. I recommend this practice to anyone & everyone. Especially if your goal is pain relief and strengthening. Thank you guys so much! I feel completely lucky and grateful that I found you!!read more

Professional Physical Therapy in Newton, MA is definitely a great place. All the staff, especially Jane, Alicia and Colleen are extremely knowledgeable, dependable, professional and courteous. They all make sure to answer any questions you may have about your therapy program, insurance,... out-of-pocket costs, and to work within your schedule. Though my appointments lasted over 6 months to achieve the best range of motion from my rotator cuff surgery, Jane, Alicia, and Colleen were always encouraging and motivating me to continue to do my best. I'm so glad I chose PPT in Newton, MA. Thanks!read more

I’ve had PT three times in my life and this was, by far, my best experience. Not only did I recover from an injury, I learned a lot which is helping me on my health and fitness journey. Jane K deserves a special shout out for leading the way with my therapy...super knowledgeable, great listener,... and endless positive energy. If I could give Professional PT 10 stars, I would. I recently had the pleasure of working with Alicia for a neck strain that was limiting my ability to be productive at work and get restful sleep. Alicia is not only incredibly skilled, knowledgeable, effective in her treatment, and talented but is... also warm, personable, and truly cares about her patient’s rehabilitation. The combination of physical and manual therapy, had my neck feeling better in under two months. Whenever I had any worries, concerns, or self doubt about if I was ever going to feel better, Alicia would always take the time to listen, reassure, educate, and provide exercises that I could do at home to help aid in my rehab. On top of that, the entire staff including Jane and Colleen are wonderful! The facilities are super clean and safely set up with covid precautions in mind. I truly looked forward to my appointments and couldn’t recommend Alicia and team more to people who are in seek of physical therapy. I would not have felt better without them.read more

High level of expertise and knowledge about functional physiology (and the causes of problems therein).Sophisticated evaluation, including slo-mo gait analysis, and life impact assessment.Therapy regimen emphasized active correction of imbalances in the entire musculo-skeletal chain that underlie... and caused my pathology(versus more passive treatments that sooth the affected area). Felt like treatment was constantly re-assessed rather than being rigidly one size fits all.Tailored home treatment regimen in addition to clinic sessions. This was Introduced gradually, and steadily grew to a very comprehensive program."Bedside" manner matters: professional and personable, compassionate and encouraging. Also, welcoming and friendly receptionist.read more

This was by far the best PT experience I've had. Jane and Tim are both professional and personable experts who made going to PT twice a week...dare I say...enjoyable?? Colleen at the front desk is awesome too. Can't recommend them enough and I'll be back for my inevitable next injury!

My experience at Physical Therapy has been nothing less than excellent. The location in Newton is very convenient, with plenty of parking at the beginning of easy street. I came in for treatment on my neck which resulted from an auto vehicle accident whip lash injury. Scheduling is very easy. I... booked my initial appointment over the phone, but their website is just as simple and easy. Above all this, the place is always spotless clean, well kept, and organized. The program I followed was made by Jane, my Physical Therapist. The program is challenging, efficient, and effective. Colleen, along with the other team of staff, keep the exercise very easy to follow and always provided clear concise instruction or demonstration. My treatment is also coupled with manual therapy. This approach was very effective. As I progressed, the pain and discomforts started disappearing. The level of professionalism here is unmatched, and the hospitality superb. I am forever grateful for what Jane, Colleen, and the rest of the staff has helped me with my recovery. I give this place an eleven out of ten stars.read more

The experience at Professional PT in Newton was beyond my expectations! Nicole and Jane are wonderful: most resourceful, straight-forward, encouraging, and warm! Their assistant Coleen was very helpful, too.I have had mild but persistent pain in lower right leg for the past two years and have... tried some massages and chiropractic sessions to no avail. Per my orthopedic doctor’s suggestion, I came to Professional PT in Newton. To my amazement, with a few simple but very effective suggestions and exercises, my pain disappeared after several sessions! I most highly recommend this place to anyone.read more

Just finished the course of PT with Jane and Nicole - they both are great.Started about a month ago with shoulder pain that woke me up at night.Per friend's recommendation visited this place in Newton and now recommend it to all my friends. These ladies are high level professionals indeed! During... the last session I realized, that I'm not sure which shoulder used to be in pain. Coleen, their assistant, also should be mentioned as part of this amazing team. As I told them when saying Good bye: Now I know where to come with all my PT problems.read more

Growing up running track to running my first marathon and then playing soccer through college, I have suffered countless injuries that have landed me in many different training rooms and outpatient PT clinics. The respect and gratitude I have for those trainers and therapists who have helped me rehabilitate my injuries led me to pursue a career in physical therapy. I strive to help my patients regain their full functional potential in order to get back to performing the activities they enjoy. I like working with people of all ages and have a special interest in working with running and soccer athletes. In my free time outside of PT, I enjoy hiking, yoga, running, and playing soccer.
