I went to Professional Physical Therapy after hurting my low back. I had my appointment with Dan, and honestly can say he is one of the best Therapists I've been to. He really takes his time and explains everything so you can understand how the stretches and exercises help. I always feel so... much better after a visit. Physical Therapy with Dr. Rhoades and Mr. Walsh has been an amazing experience because they care so much about their patients and their patient's needs. They are both extremely knowledgeable and don't mind spending the time explaining to you about the physiological/anatomical side of the various... exercises they make you do to get better. In fact, after only a couple of weeks of physical therapy 3 times a week, I have improved so much and have more mobility than after one year of seeking only trigger point treatment, etc. I wished I had started with them sooner. Dr. Rhoades and Mr. Walsh have created a very relaxing atmosphere and you know when you go there, you will walk out more relieved from your pain. Laurie is great and very caring, too. She is very efficient and gets right on top of the paperwork required from insurances, calls you up to let you know what is going on, offers to make future appointments with you, etc. I did go somewhere else before coming to see them and the secretaries would forget to send the scripts for MRI's etc. or they would forget to fill the paperwork and you couldn't get physical therapy until they had completed their side of it. I was a former patient for a different problem, and didn’t hesitate to return when PT was prescribed by my doctor. At the first visit, Dan showed me a model so I could better understand my problem. Both he and Lauren showed could explain what the pain was I was experiencing, and why. The... exercises given are explained, and the repetitions start out at a lower number. I was also frequently asked if I was ok while doing the exercises and while having any hands on treatment. Both Dan and Lauren are professional and knowledgeable, yet pleasant and friendly. The environment is bright and very clean. I witnessed the sterile procedures they follow after a patient has used any equipment. I also like that the therapists send an email with links to exercises to do at home. I have greatly increased my range of motion after just 11 sessions.
