I had a great experience at Professional PT. This was my first time going to PT, so didn't know what to expect. All of the staff were professional and friendly, from the time you arrive to the time you leave. Nick was my therapist, and was very knowledgeable and knew how to treat my injury right... away. After my course of treatment, I am vastly improved. I would recommend Professional to anyone.read more

I am coming to Professional for OT following hand surgery. Marjorie is exceptional - professional and capable with a clear interest in my comfort and healing at all times. She is patient, answers all my questions and cares for me with kindness and sensitivity.I originally came to PPT over 2 years... ago after bilateral shoulder surgery. Neil was my therapist and greeted me with a smile and by name every time. He too, was sensitive and kind - and was able to push me enough to set me on a sustained path of healing. Neil helped make an incredibly painful recovery bearable. I am grateful to this team and I heartily recommend them for all your PT AND OT needs.read more

My experience at professional performance has been exceptional. My injury is considered severe as I was hospitalized and bedridden for over fifty days. From the first day evaluation to present I have been treated with expertise and nurturing. Nick has been extremely knowledgeable about injuries... like mine and has encouraged me when appropriate and pushed me when necessary. Amy is attentive and helpful and always there with a kind word and an extra nudge when I need it. The entire staff from the front desk to the other therapist are warm friendly and helpful. As an ex athlete and someone who has had a myriad of orthopedic injuries this therapeutic experience is far superior to any other that I have had. Kudos to professional performance and the staff in Rockville center.Thank you all!Al Harperread more

Starting In November, I rehab-ed in RVC for about seven weeks after having foot surgery. My main therapist was Neal and he was quite helpful. In addition to my surgery, I also have a preexisting nerve condition in my surgical foot. Neal provided exercises to strengthen the surgical repair and... exercises for the nerve condition. I also worked with Tom and Nick if Neal wasn’t available. They were equally skilled and professional. The entire office demonstrates a team effort.read more

I grew up playing soccer and played soccer in college at a D2 level at NYIT. I understand and embrace the athletic mindset. I enjoy working with athletes and the orthopedics sports population. I began with Professional Physical Therapy in 2010 as an Aide in the Great Neck office. I graduated with my Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2013 and worked with Professional as a Full Time therapist in our Mamaroneck office. Then worked in our Merrick office for many years before being asked to open the Rockville Centre office in 2017. I also worked in the St. Johns University training room with ATCs as a Physical therapist for the student athletes. I am passionate about helping my patients alleviate their pain and return to the activities they enjoy!

Bio

My path to becoming a physical therapist began in high school. As a three-sport varsity athlete, injuries began to happen and take a toll on my performance. A suggestion from my local orthopedic, I went to my first physical therapy session, which opened my eyes to this incredible profession. I was able to see the power of incorporating strength training and rehabilitation to improve a person’s life. As my athletic career continued as a Division I varsity athlete, I was able to continue my education and path to physical therapy by majoring in Biology. Within the coursework I had to volunteer in the healthcare field which gave me the opportunity to see if the career would be worth it… It was. I continued my education at Touro College where I received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. While at Touro College, I dedicated my time and education to performing research on assessing likelihood of ACL tears and rehabbing tears, throwing angles for overhead athletes, and rehab practices for multiple surgical techniques. While in school I had multiple clinical affiliations that focused on manual therapy and orthopedic practices, including my last affiliation at Professional Physical Therapy. After graduating in the top 10 of my class and receiving the Maimonides Award, recognition for demonstrating an ultra-high level of professional ideals of a practitioner of the health sciences, I accepted a job at Professional Physical Therapy. Within my time at Professional I have performed continued education to focus on multiple manual techniques, become a Titleist Performance Instructor, and Olympic weightlifting techniques certification. I am passionate about meeting my patients where they are on their health and rehabilitation journey, and working together to build back strength, confidence and performance ability to live strong, healthy lives.

Bio

From a young age, I was always fascinated by the human body, and my love for dance led me to pursue a major in dance at Muhlenberg College. As I delved deeper into my studies, I began to understand the importance of proper body mechanics and the role of physical therapy in preventing and treating injuries. This led me to pursue a career in physical therapy.

I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Thomas Jefferson University, where I was ranked in the top 15% of my class. I was also inducted into the National Physical Therapy Student Honor Society, an accomplishment that I am extremely proud of.

My education and background in dance have given me a unique perspective on physical therapy. I understand the demands and stresses that the body can undergo, whether from athletic pursuits or simply daily life. My goal as a physical therapist is to help my patients achieve their maximum potential and regain the freedom of movement that they desire. I believe in taking a personalized approach to treatment, tailoring each plan to the individual needs and goals of my patients.
