I am a seasoned physical therapist with 12+ years of experience. I have a Masters degree in Exercise and Sports science and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. I have primarily worked in outpatient orthopedic setting for the first 5-6 years of my professional career. After completing my residency in Orthopedic physical therapy, I became Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS).
For the last 5-6 years I have shifted my focus to women’s health and Pelvic floor physical therapy. Having a sound Orthopedic background has helped me become a better Pelvic floor Physical Therapist. Being a mother of 2 beautiful daughters helped me connect with all mothers and the issues they go through before, during and after pregnancy. I have taken various courses in Pelvic floor offered by Herman & Wallace, which helped me strengthen my clinical knowledge. But what helped me most is the experience I gained treating countless women and helping them through their journey of womanhood. I have experience treating conditions like Diastasis Recti, Urinary incontinence, Pelvic organ prolapse, fecal incontinence, constipation, Pelvic pain, endometriosis, Pre/post-partum rehab just to name a few.
In my free time, I like to cook and spend time with my family. I am passionate about creating awareness around women’s health issues, and helping woman understand her body better from physical therapy standpoint.
