After being diagnosed with Foot Tendonitis on both of my legs by a foot doctor, I registered at Professional Physical Therapy in South Dennis at Patriots Square to begin a structured program to address my condition. It was very painful on both legs but only the right leg was swollen in the back... heel. Kristen Wentworth was my Therapist and she was very good with details during the evaluation process and a schedule was created to address my pain and swelling. After about 6 weeks of treatment the left leg was practically done and the right leg sort of dragged on for another 4 weeks before I was back to my normal routine pain free again. Originally, I had desired for drugs and injection for quick relief but I am Glad that I did not go with that original thought. This process was the best course of action for me and I thank Kristen for her Great attitude and care throughout my time there. Having been a personal trainer for years you can imagine it was a little daunting to stop into a physical therapist office- not to mention it was the actual former physical location of the gym I ran for many years. I started going to Professional PT in S.Dennis around the middle of August. I dreaded going because I often feel like I’m put on a bike and forgotten about. This is my second time at this location and with this wonderful staff. The first time I had lower back issues that they were able to guide me through, both pre-op and post-op. This current stint is for a broken ankle. It feels like coming home. You are welcomed by your highly qualified physical... therapist who checks in with you before we even start and exercises. They continue to check in throughout your session. I was given exercises to continue at home as well. My back is strong and the recovery has been long, but healthy once again. Owen was my therapist for 16 sessions. He was able to allow the tendons and ligaments in my forefront of my feet to heal correctly and realign my left foot properly.
