PT was a second career after leaving Real Estate. I needed to find a profession that was more rewarding than real estate and spent some time looking for alternatives. I took a preference test which was geared to finding my likes and dislikes compared to professionals in many fields. The healthcare field came up most strongly and i explored medical school and chiropractic which were not right for me. So I got a position volunteering at Mt. Sinai physical therapy clinic and felt this was the right choice. From that point I applied to PT schools, got accepted into Columbia and never looked back. I graduated in 1993 and 26 years later have been very lucky to have helped a lot of people get better. I still love what I do and plan to continue as long as I can.
