About the Clinic
: Professional Physical Therapy in West Caldwell has been treating patients in our community for over 30 years. Initially under Caldwell Therapy Center, the clinic merged with Professional Physical Therapy in 2018. The office underwent an extensive remodel in 2026 to update the facility, equipment, and create more space to provide high quality physical and occupational therapy for our patients.

The West Caldwell clinic is located on the corner of Passaic Ave and Longmeadow Ln. It shares the building with West Caldwell Dental group and is across the street from the entrance to Mountain Ridge Country Club. Free parking is available behind the building with the entrance to the lot on Longmeadow Ln.

I started going to the West Caldwell Professional Physical Therapy on Passaic Avenue about a week and a half ago and when I went there it was a lot smaller than I went to a different facility years ago however, I really like that because your care is very personalized and I love Barbara. She really... cares about how I feel, I also want to tell a little story about something that I saw there.This facility occasionally hires special needs children who are just out of school and need a job and when I was there on Monday, the guy who works there and has special needs addressed one of the therapist and he said -hey, you know why I am in such a good mood today! I’m already having success strengthening my right knee from a meniscus repair with the help of Pro PT, only three sessions in. I could save money and time by doing the exercises at home, but I don’t have all of the equipment that they do, or expertise and minimal motivation. So this re-introduces a... schedule for me and gets me out of the house. Who wants to go out during gloomy winter when you have chili con carne and Netflix and the latest shipwreck novel at home? Barbara is the director and she is excellent; patient, kind and listens to you. The other staff are very helpful. It’s not a huge facility and even though there are college pennants hanging up everywhere for decoration, they have plenty of work tables and equipment. I don’t like the pennants because it reminds me how I wasted my education and ended up in a physical labor job which is why I need surgery and PT every decade or so. But at least I am in a strong Union that looks out for its members. Overall I would recommend Pro PT for your recovery.
