What is Vestibular Rehab?

Vestibular physical therapy allows physical therapists to assess conditions related to dizziness and vertigo.

A vestibular physical therapist is trained to assess your inner ear organs with positional testing as well as gaze instability, imbalance and fall risks. Symptoms of dizziness are the number 3 reasons individuals over the age of 65 seek medical attention and the number one reason for individuals over the age of 70. Symptoms can also include visual disturbance, imbalance, nausea, vomiting, reduced ability to focus, and fatigue. Treatment strategies are designed to alleviate these symptoms.

Conditions We Treat Include:

Unilateral vestibular hypofunction

Benign paroxysmal positioning

Vertigo

Bilateral vestibular hyopfunction

Multiple Sclerosis
