Adam Elberg is President and Chief Executive Officer of Professional Physical Therapy, and serves on its Board of Directors. Mr. Elberg is also one of the founding partners of Professional and has functioned as the CEO since the organization was established in 1998.
Mr. Elberg is a NYS licensed Physical Therapist, a BOC certified Athletic Trainer and an NSCA certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist. He holds a Master’s Degree from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. Mr. Elberg extends his hands-on approach from his patient treatment days to his successful management of the company’s continued growth. Since 2011, he has grown the company from 11 offices and expanded into three states. Working closely with the staff at Professional enables Mr. Elberg to be intricately involved in all aspects of the management and operations of the business.
Mr. Elberg has been recognized by his industry peers and is asked to lecture at a variety of conferences and universities on the Business of Healthcare. In addition to his work at Professional, Mr. Elberg is very involved in a multitude of philanthropic activities. His most noteworthy charity is Cohen Children’s Medical Center where he is a member of their Board of Directors, and has been honored as the Gary M. Sherman Humanitarian of the Year Award recipient in 2015. The award is designed to honor one’s commitment to philanthropy, professionalism, community and family.
In addition to his academic and professional career as a Physical Therapist and Athletic Trainer, Mr. Elberg gained extensive experience in the field of Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy while working with athletes at the High School, Collegiate and professional levels of competition. This experience included internships with the NY Jets, NY Knicks and Boston Celtics. During his tenure as a Physical Therapist and Athletic Trainer, he rehabilitated numerous major league baseball players, NYRA jockeys and professional boxers.
