Karen Hartigan, ATC
Director, Business Relations
Karen Hartigan is a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer and physical education/adaptive physical education educator. She received her teaching degree and certification in Athletic Training from West Chester State College, PA where she also played intercollegiate softball, rugby and badminton.
Karen has a diverse sports medicine background. She has served as a clinical athletic trainer in numerous clinics and high schools in northern New Jersey. Karen has also had the opportunity to work with sports medicine clients such as Clarence Clemons, Jon Bon Jovi and an elite women’s soccer team from Northern New Jersey that completed two tours in Brasil.
Prior to joining Professional Physical Therapy’s Business Relations department Karen was a Senior Director of National Practice Development with responsibility for growing patient referrals and market share for the physician network of US Oncology/McKesson Specialty Health. Karen also had a long tenure with Healthsouth Corporation as a Vice President of Sales and Marketing overseeing the northeast division in outpatient physical therapy, ambulatory surgery centers and diagnostics. Karen’s current responsibilities are to help plan, oversee and execute all business relations strategies and ventures for Professional within the New Jersey region.
A native of eastern Pennsylvania, Karen enjoys spending time with her family in the Pocono region of Pennsylvania as well as the beaches of New Jersey. Her interests include interior design, physical fitness and volunteering with Rebuilding Together.
