There are some easy and effective exercises that help prevent injury, for people who go from sitting at a desk during the week, to skiing on the weekend. To learn more about how to safely make the most of your winter sport activities, speak to a Physical Therapist. A Physical Therapist can help by developing an exercise program to improve core and hip strength, endurance, and flexibility.  Doing hip flexor stretches, planks, single-leg dead lifts, and squats may be a good way to start.  Physical Therapy isn’t just for rehabbing injuries, and with Direct Access, many people can benefit from a physical therapy program without a prescription!  Direct Access is covered by many insurances and physical therapists*.
